Allora Gallery invites photographers from around the world to submit work for our upcoming onlinegroup exhibition, "Urban Poetry"
Cities breathe with their own rhythm—the morning rush that pulses through subway corridors, the quiet poetry of shadows cast by towering buildings, the unexpected gardens blooming between concrete slabs. This exhibition celebrates the lyrical qualities hidden within urban landscapes, where every street corner holds a verse, every reflection tells a story, and beauty emerges from the most unexpected places.
We seek photographs that reveal the poetic soul of urban environments. How do you find melody in the cacophony of traffic? What verses do you discover in the interplay of light and architecture? Can a single street scene capture the essence of human connection, solitude, or transformation? We welcome street photography that captures fleeting urban moments, architectural studies that explore the city's grand design, the vibrant energy of graffiti and street art, the unexpected beauty of urban nature breaking through concrete, the rhythmic poetry of public transport, and the luminous magic of city lights painting the night.
What poetry do you find in the urban landscape? How do your images transform the everyday city experience into something transcendent? We're looking for photographs that reveal how cities become stages for human drama, canvases for light and shadow, and repositories of countless untold stories.
