Allora Gallery invites photographers from around the world to submit work for our upcoming online group exhibition, "Roads & Bridges."
Every road leads somewhere, and every bridge is a decision to cross. A country lane disappearing into fog, a motorway at night, a mountain pass winding upward, an old stone bridge over a river, a footbridge in the early morning. They connect places and people, and they say a lot about those who built them and those who use them.
We’re looking for photographs of paths and crossings in whatever form you find them: empty roads and busy ones, village lanes, highways, trails, railway lines, viaducts, tunnels, bridges of every size and age. Landscapes where a road gives the scene its direction, city views held together by a bridge, trains crossing viaducts, empty platforms, images made on the road itself, people on their way somewhere. The moment of setting out, the arrival, or the stretch in between, all of it is welcome.
What road do you keep coming back to? We’d love to see the routes that matter to you, whether famous or just a track nobody else would notice.
