Allora Gallery is an independent photography space devoted to capturing the fleeting, the poetic, and the unseen. We celebrate photography as a way of storytelling that goes beyond words — a medium that allows us to observe, question, and connect through what we see and how we see it.
Allora means “then” or “so” in Italian — a word often spoken in moments of pause, just before something begins. For us, it’s that quiet in-between — the breath beforethe shutter clicks, the stillness before the story unfolds.
Each month, wecurate exhibitions around a central theme, welcoming photographers of all backgrounds, styles, and stages of their creative journey. Our goal is to build a space where diverse voices come together to reflect the world as it is, and as it might be seen through a more attentive lens.

We are currently accepting submissions for our upcoming photography competition Black & White, which celebrates the power of monochrome — where light becomes the subject, shadows gain weight, and the absence of colour reveals the underlying structure of the world. From portraits and landscapes to street photography and abstract work, we welcome any photograph where the choice to work in black and white makes the image stronger. All photographers are welcome to submit — regardless of background, experience, or style.

Following a Tree — a solo photography exhibition by Marian Plaino, Grand Prize Winner of the Stone & Stories competition. This project follows the same tree across different seasons and moments in time — observing how a constant presence is transformed by light, weather, and the passage of time. Each image forms part of a dialogue between permanence and change, between what remains and what disappears. View exhibition here.
