The world is rarely still. Children running through streets, the blur of passing traffic, a train cutting through the frame, a city that never stops moving. Photography has always had a complicated relationship with motion — the technology that freezes time also reveals just how much the world refuses to stop moving.
This international group exhibition brings together photographers who have found their own ways of responding to that restlessness. Some have frozen motion at its peak — the decisive instant, the suspended gesture, the moment of maximum energy caught before it dissolves. Others have let movement write itself across the frame, using time and light to turn motion into form. Between these approaches lies every possible translation of a moving world into a still image.
Through action frozen at its peak, long exposures that transform movement into atmosphere, street photography where the flow of urban life becomes composition, and studies of nature in constant flux, these works remind us that the world is always in motion — and that stopping it, even briefly, is one of photography's most enduring acts.
